Throw Back Thursday to Katie and Mike

Two years ago I was a second shooter for Katie and Mike’s big day. I remember like it was yesterday how cold it was, how great the light was and how it was such a fun and laid back wedding. Georgio’s was the absolute perfect setting for this event. Just like Katie and Mike it’s classy but with plenty of style, the kind of couple and a venue that would be fantastic to photograph again, and at any time of the year.

Erin and Corey, hands down my favorite wedding of the year.

It was storybook. Brittney and I headed up to Mahwah NJ in what started out as a dark and rain day. I mean it was coming down in buckets when we got to the hotel, but Erin was so happy and I knew right then that this was going to be a beautiful day. After we photographed Erin getting ready we headed over to the venue and as soon as we got out of he car it started to clear up. PERFECT! The lighting was as pretty as the bride and with a vibrant background of fall leaves we took some amazing portraits. The party lasted through the night in an outdoor tent and a farmhouse barn for dancing while the rain stayed collage 1 wedding collage 2 wedding collage 3

Erin and Corey! So excited for this wedding!

I’ve known Erin for over 10 years.  She was a student at Hofstra when I first started working there.  We lost touch for a little while after she graduated but then we reconnected while she was in graduate school and during my brief stint employed by C.W. Post. She is an amazing makeup artist and happens to work in the wedding business also. Corey is a musician and while I only met him recently I can see that he is a perfect match for Erin. They are so fun and cute together that it was easy to capture their love. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year!collage 2collage 1

Flo and Abe are tying the knot!

Laurie and John, aka Flo It All and Abe Drinkin to their roller derby teammates, are such a fun couple. They wanted to do their engagement shoot in the nice white snowfall right before Christmas. While we were able to catch the snow we missed the snowfall by about an hour. We did get some cold rain though, but in the end it was well worth it. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year! And yes there will be roller skating at the wedding!

Jess and Chris. A simply stunning September wedding!

Chris and Jess are this great couple I photographed with my good friend Liz from White Pear Photography. The wedding day was perfect. The weather, the ceremony and the venue were incredible. We shot their portraits at Old Westbury Gardens and it was just as perfect. I’ll admit it was my first time shooting portraits there and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. They were super cute walking around the grounds and the whole wedding party really completed the day. After portraits we headed over the The Woodlands in Woodbury where the party continued. It really was another great wedding.

Corrin and T-Bone’s Wedding

I was so fortunate to be a part of Corrin and T-Bone’s wedding (Yes I said T-Bone) back in September of this year. I photographed the wedding with my friend Andreanna Seymore. It was a beautiful, storybook Hamptons wedding. No shoes, on the beach, Hamptons formal summer style, and topped off with a backyard tent reception on the water. With a rock star attitude and an amazing wedding party this was very high on the list of fun weddings this year. The photobooth was full all night and the food was simply amazing! It’s what every wedding should be like.

Steve, Lisa and Alex!!!!

I have known Steve and Lisa for a few years now. Their son, Alex, is a year younger than mine and even though they live two houses down I really didn’t get to know them till Alex started school. As the boys got to know each other I got to know Steve and Lisa. They are an amazing couple and Alex is a terrific kid. I am so glad I was able to photograph them and I look forward to watching Alex grow up.collage 1
